PRF Development Projects

Housing:

CHC will continue to provide housing to meet the needs of low-and moderate-income families, and to make available housing-related services on a continuing basis. CHC's goal is to preserve and increase the stock of affordable housing in Howard County on a long-term basis making housing obtainable for those with incomes of 50% or less than the Baltimore median income.

Community:

Since 1994, the Columbia Housing Corporation has enjoyed a formal educational partnership with the Howard County Public School System. In all of the CHC projects are designed to meet esthetic, environmental, and economic standards. 1996, this collaboration established three community based Learning Centers to provide after school academic, social , and cultural enrichment to approximately 75 children residing in Community Homes These Learning Centers have become models for replication in other communities in Howard County.

Perpetual Revolving Fund:

The Perpetual Revolving Fund is the entity that provides the capital and resources to develop, construct, or purchase housing in partnership with the private sector, federal, and state and county housing agencies.

Diversified Homes:

PRF partnered with the Columbia Foundation in 1991 to provide a home ownership program for eight first time home buyers.

Cherry Tree Park:

This property was developed in 2003 in partnership with the Howard County Housing Commission to provide a shared equity program forseventeen first time home buyers.

Future Development:

Chatham Road is a 4 acre site located in Ellicott City, Maryland that is planned for development to provide approximately 80 rental units for senior citizens under the State of Maryland Tax Credit Program.

Lennox Park consists of four lots located in Elkridge, MD that will be developed for four first time home buyers.
